Question

My old dog was surrendered 8 months ago. Can someone tell me how to locate her? She was adopted at 5 years old. I don't want her back, but I want to tell her thank you and say goodbye. How do I find her new owners?

Answer

Once an individual surrenders his/her animal, such person typically has no further rights to that animal (including no right to know the animal’s whereabouts). Shelters/rescues do not generally disclose this information. I hope the dog was placed in a loving forever home.
